What to Expect
Your massage session is designed to address what your body needs that day.
During your first visit, you’ll complete a brief health form so I’m aware of any conditions or concerns that may affect your massage.
At the beginning of each session, we’ll spend a few minutes discussing what’s currently going on in your body and what you’d like to get out of the session. Together we’ll decide which areas to focus on so the massage is both effective and comfortable for you.
Many clients find that regular massage helps them move more comfortably, sleep better, and manage stress more easily, especially when sessions are scheduled consistently.
During the Massage
While you’re receiving your massage, I will occasionally check in about pressure and comfort. Therapeutic work can sometimes involve a “hurt-so-good” sensation, but it should never feel overwhelming or intolerable.
You’re always encouraged to speak up if something needs to change—whether that’s pressure, positioning, temperature, or focus areas. Your feedback helps make the session more effective.
Areas that feel tender often indicate where the body needs extra attention, and we can work with those areas at a pace that allows your body to relax and respond.
Arrival and Timing
Please plan to arrive 5–10 minutes before your appointment so we have time to talk about how you’re doing that day and plan the session.
Sessions end at the scheduled time regardless of arrival time, so arriving early ensures you receive your full session.
