Most people notice something after a massage.
They feel better… calmer… looser… more at ease.
But then life happens.
Stress builds back up. Shoulders tighten. Sleep gets disrupted. And that relaxed feeling doesn’t always last as long as you’d like.
WHY THIS HAPPENS
Your body isn’t just muscles—it’s also your nervous system.
Massage helps release physical tension, but stress patterns can return quickly. That’s why your body sometimes tightens back up sooner than you want.
WHAT YOU CAN DO BETWEEN SESSIONS
There’s a simple technique I’ve been sharing with clients that can help your body settle more easily.
It takes about 2–3 minutes and can be done anywhere.
No experience needed.
TRY THIS 3-MINUTE RESET
Use two fingers and gently tap on your collarbone (just below the bone).
Take a slow breath.
Say:
“Even though I’m holding some tension or stress,
I’m allowing my body to relax.”
Repeat a few times.
Then continue:
“This tension…”
“My body holding onto this…”
“Letting it soften a little…”
“Allowing some ease…”
Finish with:
“I don’t have to force anything…”
“Just letting my body settle…”
“Allowing a little more calm…”
Take a breath.
Notice what feels different—even if it’s subtle.
WHEN TO USE THIS
- Before bed
- When stress starts building
- When your shoulders or neck tighten
- Anytime you want a quick reset
A SMALL STEP THAT CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
This isn’t about doing something perfectly.
It’s just a simple way to support your body between sessions.
If you’ve tried this with me during a session, you already know how easy it can feel.
If not, feel free to ask me next time you come in—I’m happy to show you.
